I would not hestitate to buy from the dealer again. A great item at a great price. The seller dlivered just as promised.
All of his old hits are on this CD. I had been searching for this CD for ages.
Each of the songs sounds clear and excellent to me, and I love leaving it playing for hours on end as I slave away at my desk. Born in Canada in 1938, Gordon Lightfoot's rich baritone voice accompanied by his excellent acoustical guitar work has made him a favorite for more than 40 years. I highly recommend it. I really enjoy all of the songs, but especially love Canadian Railroad Trilogy (which I don't think I have ever heard before) and Beautiful. So, if you like great, soulful music, created by a master musician, then get this album. In 2002, this Complete Greatest Hits album came out to rave reviews. It contains many of his most-well knows songs, including If You Could Read My Mind Love, Rainy Day People, and his smash-hit The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.Overall, I think that this album has a great sound.
He is great. I am from northern Michigan so I remember when that ship went down. But I also like his singing.
Just from listening, the recordings all seem to be in a studio, so the quality is good. Obviousy it is still a small fraction of the songs that he wrote in total, but I like the ones they included. This is a rare combination of quality and quantity. There are a lot of good songs, mostly because GL wrote and performed so well.
